    Install Obtainium

    The setup link helps you get Obtainium if you don’t have it yet. Then open the link again.

  2. 02

    Add Authier and install

    Confirm the ready-to-use configuration, then install Authier from Obtainium. Allow installation when Android asks.

  3. 03

    Keep background updates on

    Obtainium checks for new releases. On Android 12+, eligible updates install automatically. Older devices show an update notification.

Already using Authier? Install or update it in place through Obtainium so it can handle future updates. Keep your existing app installed to preserve your local vault.

First-time setup

Three steps to an encrypted vault.

Your first browser becomes the trusted starting point and initial master device for the account. You can move that role later, but beginning on the device you expect to keep nearby saves that step.

    Choose a strong, unique master password that you can remember.

    Add another device

    Request access there, then approve it from a device you already trust.

The previous website recommended Kiwi Browser for Android and said native Android, macOS, Windows, and Linux apps were coming in Q4 2023. It also linked an early iOS build. Those statements are historical, not the current download promise. The native Android app is now available through GitHub Releases, with updates through Obtainium.

Kiwi Browser is now archived and no longer maintained. Firefox for Android has an official Authier listing, so it is the supported mobile browser path shown here.
